A disturbing road rage incident unfolded at Mallam Junction in Accra when a driver brandished a machete during a heated altercation in traffic. The viral video shows that the two drivers were stuck in a traffic jam when a verbal exchange quickly escalated into a violent confrontation.

The cause of the argument remains unclear, but tempers flared as both men shouted at each other amid the gridlock. As the traffic began to ease, one of the drivers suddenly reached into his vehicle and pulled out a machete, threatening to attack the other motorist.

Bystanders and nearby drivers were left stunned by the aggressive display, with some attempting to intervene to calm the situation. Fortunately, no physical harm was reported, and the situation de-escalated before the weapon was used.

The incident has since raised concerns about the growing trend of violent confrontations on Ghana’s roads, with many calling for greater enforcement of traffic discipline and anger management awareness among drivers. Police are yet to issue a statement on the matter.
