Report gathered from the world of football indicates that Manchester United’s new skipper, Edinson Cavani, has disclosed that it would be a great opportunity for him to play for Boca Juniors before he retires from professional football but guess what, he stressed that is is not in any rush to retire. Cavani who has so far spent 8 years at Paris-Saint-Germain was earlier linked to Benfica and Atletico Madrid but changed his mind at the later part to join Manchester United just to have a feel of the Premier League.
According to reports, Cavani had talks with Boca Juniors’ vice president Juan Roman Riquelme, where they discussed a potential transfer before changing his mind to join the ‘Red Devils’. Cavani in a chat with ESPN has this to say;
” Roman wrote to me with great respect, he wanted to know how I was in this situation, with a very particular semester and we had a very respectful talk. Boca is a giant of the world any footballer would come across playing there. There were several Uruguayan players put there. Following the history of our football arouses curiosity a bit”.
