A new alumni of Yendi Senior High School (SHS), Rahman Abdul Basit, has been murdered in a theft assault caused mishap at Mpaha in the Central Gonja region.
Youthful Basit, who was going home after effectively finishing his West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination, was a survivor of a mishap which saw his correct hand segregated from his body.

The episode happened when looters assaulted the Benz transport with enlistment number GR 4336 D, in which the new alumni was going in.
The assailants began shooting capriciously through the windscreen of the intensely stacked vehicle, and the main alternative for the driver was to pass through them.
In the course, the Benz truck somersaulted and arrived on the correct side, where the new alumni was situated with his hands outside the window.
