AdubianewsIn a powerful show of royal endorsement, His Royal Majesty King Tackie Tsuru II, Ga Mantse and President of the Ga Traditional Council, has pledged unwavering support for Onesta Ghana Limited’s bold move to revolutionize the palm oil sector in Ghana.
The monarch paid a courtesy visit to the agro-industrial firm following the launch of its flagship Redgold Oil Palm Plantation (ROPP), a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) initiative poised to establish a fully integrated, sustainable oil palm value chain in the country. The visit underscored the cultural significance and strategic importance of aligning traditional leadership with modern industrial efforts.
“I acknowledge the importance of palm oil and its benefits. I believe this project from Onesta Ghana, with collaboration, will drive progress and development,” King Tackie Tsuru II declared.
“This initiative will create massive employment for the youth and promote exports. I promise, within my powers, to support this good move for the development of the Ga State and the nation at large.”
The Ga Mantse further applauded Onesta Ghana’s decision to situate its headquarters in Accra, calling it a timely move that will benefit the local economy and provide growth opportunities for the Ga State.
Board Chairman Dr. Ekwow Spio-Garbrah highlighted the historical and cultural importance of the Ga Mantse’s visit, describing it as an essential step in fostering unity and partnership between traditional leaders and private enterprises.
“As the custodian of the land on which we operate, the Ga Mantse commands great respect among traditional leaders in Ghana. We cannot begin this journey without first seeking his blessings and guidance,” he said.
“Our leadership is open to continuous engagement, guidance, and collaboration from the Ga Mantse.”
Echoing similar sentiments, Executive Director Maxwell Nii Commey expressed the company’s appreciation for the visit and the deep sense of responsibility it inspires.
“We are honoured to meet the Ga Mantse and his elders, and we appreciate their unflinching support for a strong partnership,” Commey noted.
“We hope His Royal Majesty will use his office to liaise with the Chiefs of various communities so we can secure more lands for large-scale palm oil plantations.”
In response, King Tackie Tsuru II reaffirmed his readiness to support land acquisition through traditional authorities, promising to facilitate deeper collaboration toward achieving shared development goals.
The ROPP initiative is expected to play a vital role in Ghana’s efforts to diversify its economy, enhance agro-industrial productivity, boost palm oil exports, and generate employment for thousands of Ghanaians.
By bridging tradition and innovation, Onesta Ghana’s partnership with the Ga State is paving the way for a future where economic progress is rooted in cultural respect and collective effort.
