AdubianewsIn a significant move to support final-year students, the Ghana Education Service (GES) has disbursed GH¢15,849,920 nationwide to cover the cost of the 2025 WASSCE practical examinations for Form Three learners.
The announcement, made via a press release signed by the Head of Public Relations at GES, Daniel Fenyi, revealed that the funds are intended to equip schools with the necessary materials and resources for the smooth execution of the upcoming practical exams.
With the release of the funds, GES seeks to facilitate a smooth and well-coordinated examination process that enables students to focus on their academic work, while relieving parents and guardians of any such financial burden, the statement read.
GES emphasized that the initiative reflects the government’s ongoing efforts to reduce the financial pressure on parents and guardians while ensuring students can fully concentrate on their academic preparations.
Regional, district, and school authorities have been urged to ensure that the funds are used strictly for their designated purpose to guarantee efficiency, transparency, and accountability in the process.
Management will continue to monitor the utilisation processes to ensure compliance and to maintain high standards in the administration of the examination, the GES stressed.
The release concluded by appreciating the collaboration of all education stakeholders and reaffirmed the Service’s commitment to creating a supportive learning environment that fosters student success.
