The National Identification Authority (NIA) has confirmed that the printing of the Ghana Card has fully resumed across the country after technical challenges that temporarily disrupted the process were successfully resolved.
In a press release issued on Thursday, March 5, 2026, the Authority assured the public that all technical issues affecting the production of the national identification card have been fixed, allowing printing services to restart at all NIA offices nationwide.
According to the statement, the interruption occurred due to technical difficulties that affected the card production system in recent weeks. While the Authority did not disclose the exact nature of the problem, it indicated that engineers and technical teams worked to restore the system and return operations to normal.
With the challenges now resolved, the NIA says applicants can once again access Ghana Card printing services at its offices across the country.
The Authority also expressed gratitude to the public for their patience during the disruption. It acknowledged that the temporary suspension of printing caused inconvenience to many citizens and residents who were waiting to receive their cards.
The NIA thanked the public for their cooperation and understanding while efforts were underway to address the technical issues.
