Ghanaian highlife icon Dada Kwaku Duah, popularly known as Dada KD, has sadly passed away at the age of 56. The celebrated musician died on Friday, May 16, 2025, at Gbawe Hospital in Accra, according to multiple sources.

While the exact cause of death has not been officially confirmed, some unverified reports suggest he may have been involved in a shooting incident.

Dada KD was revered for his soulful and emotionally rich songs, which deeply resonated with fans of Ghanaian highlife music. He gained national fame with timeless tracks such as “Tekyere Ma, ” “Honey Love, ” and “Odo Mu Anigye.”
