Ghana has been a country known for many brave women who actively participated and continually participate in the emancipation of the African.
Yaa Asantewaa is an example of a strong and brave woman despite all odds took up the challenge of leading her people to freedom.
Today, we do not have Yaa Asantewaa but have equally brave women that have taken the mantle to contribute immensely to the liberation of the African.
One of such women is Ama Atta Aidoo, a mother, poet and a pan -African.
As a poet, her writings can be found on the shelves of many educational centers.
In a 1987 interview, the things she spoke about clearly plays out in our world today. This shows that the distinguished Professor is a visionary personality.
