Ashanti Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has mocked former President John Mahama saying ‘dumsor’ is the only thing Ghanaians can remember him with.
He noted that, President Akufo-Addo has solved the Dumsor crisis.
Chairman Wontumi told the Chiefs and People of Suame that Ghanaians now enjoy free water adding that since independence no government has done that except the NPP.
He said that, under the administration of President Akufo-Addo and the hard work exhibited by the MP for the Constituency, Hon. Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, ‘dumsor’ has become a thing of the past.
He said that, during the era of the NDC, they had Majority Leader of Parliament but ‘dumsor’ existed.
He noted that when the NPP came to power, the Majority Leader, Hon. Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu helped solved that albatross.
He added that, the MP played a vital role for the sanction of the free SHS policy in Parliament.
According to Chairman Wontumi, Hon. Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu did that to honor the people of Suame, NPP and Ghana.
He said that the Hon. Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu was a youth when he became MP and has done a lot for Suame Constituency.
“Hon. Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu speaks English like as a lawyer unlike mine, ‘Whom mamai’.”
Chairman Wontumi alleged, “the Independent candidate in the area, Baashaka is being supported by one NDC member called Dodovi. The two have met Yamoah Ponko to print ballot papers for both President Akufo-Addo and Hon. Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu to accuse him of rigging.
