The attackers stormed the area with firearms, unleashing several warning shots as they seized an unidentified victim.
A video from the scene, now circulating on social media, shows the armed men firing into the air before making a swift getaway. The gunfire disrupted the peace of the early morning and forced residents to seek safety.
The identity of the victim remains unknown, and the motive behind the abduction has not been confirmed. No group has claimed responsibility for the act, and it is unclear whether the incident is linked to any ongoing security issues in the state.
While authorities have not yet issued a formal statement, police sources say investigations are underway, and patrol efforts in the area have been increased. The incident adds to growing concerns over rising insecurity in parts of southeastern Nigeria.
