FrimpongPresident Akufo-Addo has filed his nomination at the Electoral Commission in Accra to contest the 2020 election on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Akufo-Addo is eyeing a second term in office after winning the 2016 polls. The president was accompanied by the Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
In a tweet, Mr Akufo-Addo said: “We have fulfilled our promises and delivered on the mandate you gave us. Give us 4 more years to do more for you.
“Vote Nana Akufo-Addo and the NPP to transform Ghana for all. #4MoreForNana #4MoreToDoMoreForYou.”
His main contender John Mahama, a former president, is expected to file his nomination on Wednesday, October 7, 2020.
