The Minister for Energy and Green Transition, John Abdulai Jinapor, has officially sworn in a new Board for the VRA Resettlement Trust Fund, urging members to stay committed to the purpose for which the Fund was created.
During a brief ceremony, the Minister reminded the Board that the Trust was established to support communities affected by the activities of the Volta River Authority (VRA), especially those displaced by hydroelectric projects.
He stressed the importance of ensuring their work produces real benefits for residents in these communities.
Mr. Jinapor encouraged the Board to concentrate on critical interventions that directly improve living conditions. These include healthcare, education, sanitation, and other urgent social needs.
He further emphasised accountability and responsiveness in managing the Trust’s resources to guarantee lasting impact.
The newly sworn-in Board members are:

Joycelyn Tetteh
Dr. Seidu Mohammed
Ing. Samuel Fletcher
The Minister expressed confidence in the experience and competence of the Board members, noting that their leadership will help improve the welfare of resettled communities across the country.
He urged them to work diligently to fulfil the mandate of the Trust Fund and deliver meaningful development outcomes for beneficiaries.
