Former President John Mahama has paid a heartfelt tribute to the late former Chairperson of the Council of State and longstanding NDC stalwart, Cecilia Johnson, praising her for her decades of exceptional public service.
Mahama described her as “a shining example for women in leadership,” commending her integrity, dedication, and decency throughout her political career. He urged Ghana’s political class to uphold the values it lived by and defended.
A State Funeral was held earlier today, bringing together family, friends, dignitaries, and political leaders who gathered to honour her memory and celebrate her legacy of discipline, humility, and national commitment.
