It is another bight day and Ghanaians have woken up to another hustling day. On New Day today, Tuesday, June 8, 2021, Sammy Gyamfi, the National Communications Officer of the NDC and Richard Nyamah, a Deputy Communications Officer joined Johnny Hughes in discussing national issues.
The discourse started Sammy in his introduction mentioned that life is hard because of things in the country are difficult. Richard Nyamah was of the view that things are hard but it is normal because other countries are also going through hardships. He noted that Ghanaians had enjoyed freebies and it was time to revamp the economy. Johnny then asked why Ghanaians are being made to pay for things they were told were free.
“Kojo Oppong Nkrumah told us we that we are going to pay for the things we enjoyed. The president also said it was free. Now they are telling us we will pay for them. Don’t call it free then” Johnny said
“Johnny, don’t tell me what you don’t know. Stop misinforming your viewers. It was free. At that time Ghanaians needed it. Now that the economy is back you will need to pay for it. it was free. People were given hot meals and so on. Ghana has a smart president who is providing for the people”
Richard Nyamah insisted that Ghanaians enjoyed freebies and no one could deny that. He called for calm as the president worked to stabilize the country.
