The King of the Ashanti Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has sent a strong word of politicians to conduct themselves in a respectful manner before, during and after the elections.
According to him, Ghana has held several elections and have walked out peacefully compared to other countries.
He was therefore optimistic that country will be peaceful after the 2020 election.
“Ghana has been peaceful all these years, we have gone through various elections and have still remained peaceful unlike countries around us.
“And so I will urge that politicians to conduct themselves in a respectful manner in order to protect the peace of the country,” he said.
Otumfuo Osei Tutu II was speaking when the Vice President of Ghana paid a courtesy call on him during his three-day tour of the Ashanti Region.
