The sad report convened has it that the driver of the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Karaga in the Northern Region has been shot dead y unknown assailants.
According to MyNewsGh’s report, the driver identified as Ziblim Issah was returning to Karaga after serving the official vehicle of the DCE in Tamale and got attacked by unknown assailants at Yamo-Karaga where he was shot at close range in the forehead.
The report went on to detail that sources revealed the DCE Mr. Alhassan Yabdow had earlier gone with the driver to Tamale to attend some official functions but returned to the area and allow him time to service the Nissan Patrol vehicle.
After servicing the vehicle, the driver was returning to base when he was attacked at the village which a few kilometers away from Karaga township.
“Other road users saw him this morning behind the steering wheel dead with a bullet injury on his forehead. The ignition of the car was still on an they drew the attention of the Karaga Police who moved it. It is believed to have happened around 11pm on Friday May 28, 2021”, a source revealed to this portal.
The body is being conveyed to the Tamale Teaching Hospital pending autopsy.
