The honourable member of parliament for the Assin Central constituency, Kennedy Agyapong has sent chills to the Ghanaian community in New York last night, Sunday 23rd May 2021. The MP is currently in the United States and the Ghanaian community took the opportunity to interact with him to share his experiences and give them some pieces of advice.
Speaking on Adinkra Radio NY, on a live interview which was aired on facebook live, Kennedy Agyapong advised that it is good to set up a business in Ghana, and it is more profitable to do business in Ghana than the US.
However, the worst thing one can ever do is to establish a business in Ghana and leave it in the hands of his family member and go back to the US. His reason for this advice was that he has had several experiences with relatives taking charge of his business and eventually collapse it because they will rather steal from you to establish theirs.
He reiterated that, “returns on investment in Ghana is far better than here in the US but get your foot in there, you have to sacrifice and devote time to stay with your business but if you use it for family affairs, then you will come back here in the US because for all you know, if you are cheated by your family member, you being the breadwinner, all the other relatives will support the thief rather than you”.
