Ghana’s Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, Kojo Choi, says the relationship between the two nations is entering “a new era of genuine partnership and shared destiny” as they approach the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties. In a Facebook post on Friday, December 12, 2025, the Ambassador reflected on the symbolic significance of his appointment and reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening Ghana’s global standing.
“As we approach 50 years of Ghana–Korea relations, we step into a new era of genuine partnership and shared destiny. Ghana’s story has always been one of resilience, brilliance, and divine purpose,” he wrote.
Mr. Choi, who earlier in the day presented his Letter of Credence to the President of the Republic of Korea, said he was beginning his mission with full authority and a deep sense of duty.
“With deep honor, I begin this mission in full authority, dedicated to lifting Ghana’s light even higher on the world stage. God bless our homeland, Ghana, and make our nation Great and Strong,” he added.
He described the moment as both personal and historic, noting that he was born the same year Ghana and Korea established diplomatic relations—a milestone he says has shaped his life and now guides his diplomatic mandate.
