Camidoh speaks on lack of resources in Volta music industry

Ghanaian musician Camidoh has shed light on the challenges faced by upcoming talents from the Volta Region, attributing their slow rise to the lack of resources in the area. During an interview on Hitz FM, he emphasized that although the region is rich in talent, limited support systems make it difficult for artists to break into the mainstream.

He explained that the music industry in Ghana as a whole suffers from underdevelopment, but the situation is more severe in regions like Volta where access to resources is even more restricted. This has created a gap between potential and opportunity for many aspiring musicians.

Camidoh mentioned his personal involvement with a few artists from the region who have managed to push through despite these setbacks. He noted that their progress is often slower due to the hurdles they must overcome without adequate support.

According to him, providing platforms, funding, and mentorship could help unleash the potential of these regional talents. He also called for more investment and attention toward areas that are often overlooked in the industry.

His comments have sparked discussions on the need for balanced development in the Ghanaian music scene and better resource allocation to underserved regions.
