The #FixTheCountry campaign was launched by some Twitter users and was later broadcasted on other social media platforms as some celebrities joined the trail to use their influence to affect the people’s plea to the government.
The move aims at calling the government to address the various problems in various sectors of the economy affecting the average Ghanaians.
Shatta Wale on the other hand is of the view that the protestors can go about this in another way without necessarily lambasting the government over their unsolved issues.
In a Facebook post, Shatta Wale urged the campaigners to be more specific with what they want the government to fix rather than calling on them to fix the entire country at once.
He said that if the youth should ask the government to fix a particular geographical area or sector, the government will have so many ideas to address the problems in that area before moving to the next sector, adding that the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo cannot fix the entire country at once.
He further advised the youth to be patient in their dealings and deal with issues the right way because the leaders in the country are still in control of the affairs and resources in the country.
He wrote; Let’s say eg: #Fixcapecoast – that way our leaders will have some idea on how they have to go about it but #FixTheCountry chinchinaaa dierr ad3n … one president even can’t do it my guy You should stop this war with politician ,they are powerful and control all of us .. Let’s be patient in our dealings and deal right !!! #Ayoo
