AdubianewsPresident John Dramani Mahama has thrown his support behind the reigning Ghana’s Most Beautiful (GMB) Queen, Nihad Titiaka Oases Ibrahim, as she champions her flagship initiative, “Empowering Communities for Climate Action.”
The courtesy call at the Jubilee House provided a platform for the young Queen to present her project, which is anchored on climate education, tree planting, waste management, recycling, clean cooking solutions, and the construction of a 3-Unit Classroom Block in the Savannah Region. She appealed to the President for guidance in scaling up the project to benefit communities across the country.
Queen Nihad, who made history as the first winner of the GMB crown from the Savannah Region, expressed deep appreciation to President Mahama for the encouragement he offered during the competition.
She noted that his support contributed to her success, describing her victory as not just personal but also a triumph for her region. “This milestone was not just a personal victory but also a collective one for my region, and I remain forever grateful,” she said.
The Queen also praised the President’s leadership, describing him as an inspiration for her advocacy journey. “His Excellency’s visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to national development continue to inspire me deeply. It strengthens my resolve to keep working towards a greener, more sustainable future for Ghana and beyond,” she stated.
Since winning the Ghana’s Most Beautiful 2024 crown, Queen Nihad has positioned herself as a youth advocate for sustainable development. Her focus on climate action places her among a growing movement of young African leaders responding to the climate crisis with innovation and grassroots mobilisation.
The meeting highlighted the importance of strong partnerships between government, youth leaders, and civil society in addressing challenges such as environmental degradation and climate change—a cause that both President Mahama and Queen Nihad agree is vital for Ghana’s future.
