AdubianewsThe Atwima Nwabiagya South Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Wisdom Osei Boamah, has ordered the closure of a grinding mill at the Abuakwa Market, citing unsanitary conditions around the facility.
The shutdown was part of ongoing efforts under this month’s National Sanitation Day. During his visit, the MCE observed that the grinding area and surrounding drains were in a deplorable state, posing health hazards to the public.
In response, the Abuakwa Market grinding mill closure was enforced immediately, with instructions to the Municipal Sanitation Unit to ensure full compliance with health standards by the operators.
Mr. Boamah stressed that maintaining hygiene in public food spaces is critical and warned that similar actions will be taken against any business found to be compromising public health.
