He recently got the spotlight when BBC engaged him in a conversation. He revealed that he started playing table tennis at the age of 9, adding that the sport gives him confidence.
He said his new status as a world champion and celebrity has not altered his personality because he goes about his daily routines just as it was before.
“I started playing table tennis at the age of nine. My father did not know I normally play table tennis. But one day, he told us to escort him to the table tennis hall and he started playing and he saw us playing.
He found us a coach and we started training and that was how it started.”
The young prodigy who said that table tennis makes him happy and gives him confidence disclosed that he also plays soccer, skating and other games.
