The teaching of the Catholic Church is that a married couple commit themselves totally to one another until death.
That is how former President J.A Kufuor describes the relationship between President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo and Vice-President Bawumia.

He said the affectionate relationship between the two reflected in the success story of the Akufo-Addo administration.
“The leadership of the NPP [Akufo-Addo and Bawumia] doesn’t just talk but walk the talk which is why Ghanaians would give them four more years,” the former President opined.
“I was the bridge between the old and the new party and I pray Nana and Mahamudu will continue,” he said at the party’s National Council meeting to acclaim President Akufo-Addo and his running mate.

Buoyed by what he said was the progress chalked under the leadership of the party, he said although he initially thought the pair were promising too much; he was impressed with their achievement in the last three and half years.
President Akufo-Addo has consistently chosen Dr Bawumia since 2008, when he poached him from the prestigious Deputy Governor job at the Bank of Ghana.

After losing two elections and winning one, President Akufo-Addo is hoping the will equal their defeat with another victory on December 7.
