A member of the opposition National Democratic Congress, Nuhu Mccarthy, who allegedly issued threats against Koku Anyidoho, the CEO of Atta-Mills Institute person on Facebook last year, has render d an apology.
The latter reported the case to the Cyber Crime Unit of the Police CID.
But the suspect has gone to Mr. Anyidoho to apologize.
He has asked for forgiveness through a letter and copied the CID.
Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Atta Mills Institute (AMI), Koku Anyidoho, in December 2020, filed an official complaint at the Criminal Investigation Department Cyber Crime Unit over threats on his life.
The outspoken media personality and governance expert filed the complaint after he received several threats directed at him for his opinion on the 2020 polls.
Mr. Anyidoho led the institute as domestic election observers in the 2020 general elections.
In his assessment of the processes, he described the polls as free, fair, and transparent as well as credible from the point of the observation his team made.
However, his observation angered some people following, which threats were directed at him.
But of the individuals, Nuhu has apologized to Mr. Anyidoho and asked him to forgive him.
Nuhu said he was sorry and would not repeat his action again.
Mr. Anyidoho on his part told him the threat was unfortunate and asked the NDC member to desist from such acts.
He wondered why a member of the NDC will threaten another member of the party over the matter.
He advised Nuhu to write an undertaking and hand it over to the CID if indeed he was remorseful.
