Campaigning in the Akwatia Constituency, the Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Authority (NYA), Mr Osman Ayariga, emphasized that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is a peaceful party that does not depend on violence to secure victory.
Mr Ayariga, who also serves as the party’s National Deputy Youth Organiser, assured residents that the NDC’s candidate, Mr Bernard Bediako Baidoo, would win the by-election based on policies and vision, not intimidation.
“The NDC is a peaceful party. We don’t need violence to win in Akwatia. What we need is your support, your trust, and your vote,” he told supporters during the campaign.
He urged the youth to resist any efforts by individuals or groups to provoke conflict, calling on them to prioritize development, job creation, and opportunities that would improve the lives of people in the constituency.
“Let us show that politics is about ideas, not fighting. Akwatia must lead by example,” Mr Ayariga added, stressing that the NDC’s agenda under President John Mahama focuses on resetting Ghana to deliver meaningful social and economic transformation.
