The National Service Authority (NSA) has fixed Thursday, January 23, 2026, as the deadline for nurses and midwives who completed their training in 2025 to enrol for the 2026/2027 national service year.
The registration exercise officially began on Monday, January 19, following the release of Personal Identification Number (PIN) codes for 6,867 eligible nurses and midwives. Applicants have a four-day window to complete their enrolment and secure their service placements.
To access the enrolment platform, prospective service personnel are required to pay a GH¢41.00 registration fee via Mobile Money on any network. After payment, applicants can retrieve their PIN codes from the NSA website — https://gnsa.gov.gh/home — using their student identification numbers and dates of birth.
Eligibility for the exercise is restricted to nurses and midwives who successfully passed the March and April 2025 Licensing Examinations, commonly referred to as the minor season, conducted by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana.
The Council formally submitted the list of qualified candidates to the NSA on Friday, January 16, 2026, paving the way for the commencement of the registration process.
In a statement issued on Monday, NSA Director-General Ruth Dela Seddoh encouraged all eligible applicants to complete their enrolment within the specified period to avoid being left out of the national service programme.
The Authority has reiterated that no extensions will be granted beyond the announced deadline.
