Kumasi-based Prempeh College by and by indicated their class to meet all requirements to the quarter-finals of the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) on Tuesday.
The four-time champions directly from the first round displayed what stuff they were made of by taking an early lead of 14 focuses against Ephraim Amarquaye and Obed Darko from Asanteman SHS’ 11 focuses with St. Thomas Aquinas SHS following with 8 focuses.
There was no adjustment in the positions when the Speed Race took off as Obeng Nana Twumasi and Kyei Eden Ankrah Ernest guaranteed that there was no thinking back. It was a ‘Trick me in the event that you can’ articulation directly from the beginning.
With an agreeable lead, Prempeh College went for the throat as it amassed more focuses to end the second round with 22 focuses followed by Asanteman SHS with 16 focuses as Godfred Osei Agyei and Randy Kenyah from St. Thomas Aquinas SHS finished with 6 focuses.
In the ‘Issue of the Day’ round, there was a touch of equality as all the three schools scored 3 imprints from a potential 10.

Toward the finish of the round, Prempeh College scored 25 focuses as Asanteman SHS had 19 focuses and St. Thomas Aquinas SHS sacking a measly 9 focuses.
At the True or False round, the school from ‘Kumerica’ detonated to end the round with 41 focuses as St. Thomas Aquinas SHS shook off their languid selves to runner up with 25 focuses, which sent Asanteman SHS to third place with 23 focuses.

At the point when it got to the Riddles, in spite of the fact that St. Thomas Aquinas had an early lead by responding to the initial three inquiries on the principal hint. This supported their imprints yet they woke up into the opposition slow on the uptake as Prempeh College took over ringing the chime on the primary sign to answer the third and fourth puzzles.
