Two finals in two consecutive years, PRESEC are on course to win their sixth NSMQ trophy.
They used their semi-final contest with Kumasi Academy and Aburi Presby to sort of cut the sod for the 2020 trophy. Not that they would win it, but they are beginning to show they can win it.
3rd Semi-final contest: Final results.
PRESEC, Legon: 66 points.
Kumasi Academy: 38 points.
Presby SHTS, Aburi: 18 points.

PRESEC was tipped to win this contest against two sides who would feel they have done wonderful enough to reach the semis for the first time.
If questions are raised by the quality of the opponents, PRESEC answered this by the quality of their performance in Problem of the Day.
They got a perfect score, the only school to do so in the semi-finals and the second school to ever get a perfect score in 2020 edition.
Before the final Round of Riddles, PRESEC had already solved the riddle of who wins the last spot for the grand finale. They had solved that riddle in Round One.
PRESEC sets up a grand finale clash with two-time champions, OWASS, and one-time winner, Adisadel College.
The Legon school remains the only 2019 finalist in the 2020 edition. St. Augustine’s College and St. Peters exited with a whimper.
PRESEC’ strong performance this year is a culmination of years of rebuilding.
Since Presec won back to back, they have been going back. As back as being kicked out of the 1/8th stage by Osei Tutu in 2016.
It was reported, PRESEC set up a committee after that defeat to investigate their decline. Perhaps that is how the revival began.
They have been semi-finalists in two of the last five contests and out of the 24 grand finales at the NSMQ,
Presec has been in nine of them and won five. Adisadel has been to four of them and won once.
Opoku Ware SHS has been to seven of them and won twice.
And so, PRESEC are specialist at winning the finals. They are the Lewandowskis of this contest.
