FrimpongA ‘one-week’ commemoration service for former General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, popularly known as Sir John, is currently ongoing at Sakrawono in the Ashanti Region.
Until his death, Sir John was the CEO of the Forestry Commission.
A number of party bigwigs and other political leaders from the opposition NDC are expected to be at the commemoration.
Sir John died in Accra after testing positive for Covid-19.
