Efia Odo expressed the demonstration will not simply be in a day as concerned Ghanaians will keep on challenging the government until they see that the government is truly putting forth a valiant effort to improve the lives of its citizens.
This comes after the Ghana Police Service disclosed that it will go to the law court to keep the demonstration from happening in the city after a letter was sent for endorsement from the police administration to hit the roads of Accra on May 9th to challenge government.
Efia Odo earlier implied that the they were scheduled to meet with the Inspector-General of Police, Mr. James Oppong-Boanuh on his solicitation. However, when they were en route to meet him, they got another order that they ought to go to the office of the National Security Minister, Hon. Albert Kan-Dappah.
Per the tweets from the Efia Odo and her colleagues, it appears to be that the meeting was not as fruitful as they had trust for yet they are as yet in high expectations that the proposed demonstration will definitely come off as planned.
This is what she took to her Twitter page to say;
”May 9th we are protesting! And it’s not just a one day protest . We will protest until the demand of the people are met. If it will take me a lifetime, I will not stop. I don’t talk much, just show action. We will pull up on them! #FixthecountryGhana”
Well, latest information reaching our outfit indicates that there was heavy security presence at the black stars square in the early hours of today May 9th, all in the name of preventing the #FitTheCountry demonstration from taking place.
The picture which was shared by Ghanaian journalist Umaru Sanda Amadu captures some Police vehicles right in front of the Black Stars Square and ready to prevent the conveners from demonstrating should they have made the attempt.
Umaru Sanda Amadu took to his Official Facebook page and shared the picture with caption;
”If you can’t get hot water because of #Dumsor or the high cost of LPG, take your bowl to the Independence Square now. A redundant team of police officers has tanks loaded with hot water wasting away. Let’s help them by using it to cook 3ba or indomie. #FixTheLaws #FixMotherGhana #FixTheCountry”
