Former Black Meteors skipper and Kumasi Asante Kotoko midfielder, Yusif Chibsah has urged the new Ghana football administration to have the welfare of players at heart.

Speaking on Cape Coast based Live FM with Alexwa, the former Gefle IF midfielder urged that the well-being of footballers should be a matter of the heart which must be taken a critical look at.
According to the renowned FIFA intermediary, Ghanaian footballers playing on the local scene deserve a good pay to prevent unnecessary player exodus in the country.

“We have to pay our players very well so they can stay in our league for long and it will bring excitement”
” If I get a chance to talk with the new FA, I will tell him to take good care of players welfare.”

The 2004 CAF Confederation Cup silver medalist further hailed Otumfuo’s one year transfer ban which has been imposed on the club. Chibsah however opined that it is a good decision, but it should also have flexible options.

“I support Otumfour on Kotoko’s one-year ban on buying players, but I also think it should be flexible”,  he noted.

Chibsah is a football agent who now represents over 20 professional footballers under Club Consult Africa.
