The public institutions in the Central regional capital Cape Coast in the Cape Coast Metropolis have received support from the cape coast Metropolitan Assembly.
The Cape Coast metropolitan assembly as their part of contributing to the fight against COVID-19 has donated 2,000 nose masks to all various public institutions such as hotels, bar owners, transport department, market, traditional leaders among others in the cape coast Metropolis to contain the spread of the virus.
In an interview with Joseph Cobbina, the municipal Chief Executive for Cape Coast metropolitan assembly, Hon, Ernest Arthur urged the public to adhere to the precautionary measures and directives that has been mandatory for all Ghanaians.
He said the cape coast metropolitan assembly has now started with the education on the need to put on nose masks in a persuasive manner but will later enforce the directives after they are done with the education and anybody who flouts will be dealt with seriously.
According to the MCE more PPEs will be distributed as many as possible so that they can help prevent and contain the virus.
He added that the need has come for ‘trotro’, taxi drivers and ‘pragya’ riders to observe the social distancing protocols, any child that can walk must have his or her seat according to the social distancing directives unless he or she is a baby and failure to observe these directives will find you in hot water.
