The Ministry of Education is ready to reopen schools for the final year students to write their exit examination as directed by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
The Director of Communications for the ministry, Ekow Vincent Assafuah in an interview with Captain Smart on Angel FM’s Anopa Bofuor said the Ministry has put all measures in place to help the students when they go back to school in these trying times.
Mr Assafuah said the government has awarded contracts to companies who are ready to fumigate all schools before they reopens.
He added that all safety equipments needed to ensure teachers and students are protected are ready as announced by the Minster of Education, Matthew Opoku Prempeh.
The Public Relations Officer for Ghana Education Service, Madam Cassandra Twum confirmed that, they will provide three nose masks for each student, veronica bucket, tissue papers, hand sanitizers, soap and other items to protect students and teachers from the novel coronavirus virus within the period of eleven weeks.
Madam Cassandra also said, no parent will be allowed to visit the students, no food vender will be allowed sell in the various schools.
All these measures are put in place to protect students from anyone who may have been infected with the virus-she said
