The Deputy Spokesperson for the President of the Republic of Ghana Shamima Muslim has shared a heartfelt conversation on her journey in the public service, media and her advocacy works.

Speaking to Bernard Avle of Citi fm she indicated her admiration and gratitude for

Who Is Shamima Muslim?

Shamima Muslim Alhassan is a distinguished Ghanaian journalist, media personality,

gender advocate, and public servant. She became a household name through her work with Citi FM, TV3, and Metro TV, where she established a reputation for intellectual depth, integrity, and courage.

She is the Founder and Convener of the Alliance for Women in Media Africa (AWMA), a pioneering organization dedicated to empowering women in media and promoting gender equality through public discourse and policy.

Her leadership spans across advocacy, civic education, and national dialogue —particularly on women’s empowerment, youth inclusion, and democratic participation.

 

Currently serving as Deputy Presidential Spokesperson under President John Dramani Mahama, she continues to shape national conversations with clarity and poise.
