His performance as the new Special Prosecutor at the Appointments Committee of Ghana’s Parliament has since been described as sterling. The expectations are currently high on Mr. Kissi Agyabeng especially when he is about to wear the big shoes of Mr. Martin Amidu who resigned as the first special prosecutor of Ghana.
Many have indicated that Kissi Agyabeng has a close relationship with celebrated investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas. The general suggestions are that the two will work together to clamp down on corruption through vigorous investigations. But there are different opinions, warnings, and suggestions being thrown at Mr. Kissi Agyabeng on how to execute his work diligently.
One of such warnings is coming from the quarters of Mr. Kwaku Annan, the host of the Seat Show on Net 2 Television. He believes Anas is the darling boy of Kissi Agyabeng and the two share similar ideologies. According to Kwaku Annan, Anas Aremeyaw Anas has a lot of questions to answer on some documentaries he has produced over the years.
The style of investigations by Anas Aremeyaw Anas has been questioned over the years. Many believe that he sets up his victims and that is unprofessional. Most of the people he caught taking bribes on camera have not been jailed because of the evidence involved. There are however many who have lost their jobs in the process.
Information indicates that Anas Aremeyaw Anas is about to premier another explosive but Kwaku Annan seems to have the details already. According to him, Anas Aremeyaw Anas has staged a documentary that has the tendency of causing harm to the government.
“We want to know why he has refused to drop the video documentary, we already have the content wrapped around our fingers, your material has leaked and we are monitoring every single move you make”. Kwaku Annan indicated.
