AdubianewsDancehall icon, Livingstone Este Satekla, popularly known as Stonebwoy has issued a clarification regarding the number of times he has won the Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year award at the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA). This comes after a recent statement in which he claimed to have bagged the coveted title ten times.
Speaking in an interview with George Quaye on JoyPrime, the artist admitted to making an honest mistake. After some reflection and consultation with a member of his team, he realized the actual number of wins stands at nine.
Stonebwoy acknowledged that the error needed to be corrected for the sake of accuracy. He emphasized the importance of setting the record straight, especially on achievements that hold significant value in his career.
The multiple-award-winning artiste maintained that he does not claim credit for anything he hasn’t earned. This, he noted, was the reason he felt compelled to come forward with the correction.
His decision to clarify the mistake has been met with praise from fans and industry players who see it as a reflection of his integrity. The video has since sparked conversations online, with many commending the artist for his honesty.
