The Walter Sisulu University Student Sbongile Mani has been sentenced to 5 years imprisonment for theft relating to the 14 Million Rands that was accidentally credited to her account in 2017 by the National Student Financial Aid Scheme.
After the money was accidentally credited to her account Mani spent 800 000 Rands ($59,000) on clothes, toys, alcohol & bedding. She was found guilty of theft by the East London Regional Court.
