Security officers arrest man with suspected weed at Alisa Hotel during government event

A man believed to be a New Patriotic Party (NPP) foot soldier has been arrested by security officers at the Alisa Hotel in Accra after he was allegedly found with a substance suspected to be weed.

The suspect, who reportedly posed as a blogger, was seen taking videos and photos during the Ministry of Local Government’s orientation program on the 24-hour economy model market, which was attended by Regional Ministers, MMDCEs, and MMDAs.

His unusual behavior drew the attention of security personnel, who approached and questioned him over his presence at the event. A search conducted on him revealed a substance suspected to be narcotics, leading to his immediate arrest.

The man has since been handed over to the police for further investigations to determine the authenticity of the substance and the motive behind his actions during the high-profile government program.\
