AdubianewsTwo Ghanaian men have been caught red-handed attempting to steal a broken street light pole following a heavy downpour. The incident drew public attention as the men were seen dragging the damaged pole with the intent to sell it for scrap.
In the viral video, the men were confronted by a concerned citizen who questioned them about the origin of the pole. In response, they claimed they found it in a nearby gutter and assumed it had been abandoned. They added that they only intended to repurpose it for scrap metal and meant no harm.
The individual who stopped them sternly reminded them that the street light belonged to the public and could not be taken without permission.
He then instructed them to return the pole to the same location they allegedly picked it. The confrontation served as a cautionary moment about protecting public infrastructure, especially in the aftermath of severe weather events.
