– Marghuy’s documents confirm him as a brilliant boy who has always been top of his class OUR MANIFESTO:
The matter of Tyrone Iras Marghuy, the JHS graduate who was refused admission into Achimota School for his secondary education, is still lingering.
Marghuy and one other, Oheneba Nkrabea, were refused by the school because they sported dreadlocks.
While the school directed that the two students should cut their dreadlocks before being given admission, their parents have insisted that their hairstyle is part of their belief as Rastafarians and thus a right for them to have and attend the school.

Amid the back and forth, certificates of Marghuy have popped up on social media confirming him to be a brilliant student.
Among the certificates which have surfaced on the internet are citations from his school, Omega School, for his outstanding performance in the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
Other documents include his SHS placement information which shows his performance in the BECE.
From the record, Marghuy’s best six subjects were the four core subjects of English, Mathematics, Science and Socia Studies which he scored ones in as well as ICT and BDT.
The form also shows Marghuy had six ones (6 ones) in the BECE. His raw scores in the four core subjects was 339 out of a possible 400.
Apart from Achimota School, Marghuy selected St John’s Grammar, Holy Trinity Senior School, Forces Senior High/Technical School, and Odorgonno SHS as his four other choices.
Marghuy’s admission letter, acceptance letter, and personal record for he filled are also part of the documents.
According to their father, the girl’s admission to St John’s Grammar School is being revoked over their hairstyles.
Meanwhile, Tyrone Marghuy and his siblings have reportedly been offered half a dozen scholarships.
