The NDC ‘s Communication Wing here at Awutu Senya East Constituency, ASEC, communicates our disaffection with a series of death threats via text messages sent to our parliamentary candidate, Hon. The last few weeks Phyllis Naa Koryoo Okunor has been doing so.
The clock is ticking, each and every stroke brings us much closer to the most important event of the entire political calendar, hence the December general elections.
This major event in our political enterprise would require each aspiring candidate to crisscross the length and breath of constituencies and regions for prospective parliamentary and presidential candidates, respectively, to engage the people who voted for them in office.
This is mostly an opportunity for contesting candidates to account for stewardship of incumbent aspirants and to provide a better alternative. We have to agree here at, Covid’19 ‘s emergence has redefined what Normality is in terms of how these political adventures aim to bring relief to the people who offer the most strength, the people.
It is against this backdrop that the NDC Parliamentary
Candidate for the Eastern Constituency of Awutu Senya, Kasoa, Hon.
Phyllis Naa Koryoo Okunor, affectionately called among her constituents “THE WOMAN” in an effort to deliver a better policy-oriented alternative to the good people of Kasoa, has warmed the hearts of the thousands who are eager to bring a meaningful change to Kasoa and the country at large.
The rapid pace at which Kasoa’s good people embraced Naa Koryoo and the concept of ‘Change’ arrived in December 2020 not only sent shock waves down the back of the incumbent MP, but also warranted numerous death threats from unknown ‘Cowardly-Flavoured Hooligans.
The Executive Committee of the Constituency and the entire Fraternity of Awutu Senya East NDC wishes to inform the public that the Police CID Headquarters in Accra has been officially requested by the next MP of
Awutu Senya East, Naa Koryoo, to investigate the matter with all seriousness and to reveal the Cowards behind it as excerpts of the death threats that have occurred so far can be linked positively to this.
The death threats have also identified Naa Koryoo’s close family and party
associates and her good self, who are all next in line for execution.
We do want to maintain that, irrespective of the amount of public funds that are meant to be used for development projects, but much like their paymasters, we have found our way into the hands of cowards to send death threats to our leader, we remain very committed in both the parliamentary and presidential elections to the cause of victory.
We do trust the police to do a ‘Yoo-Mans’ job on this
as we received the various Contact Numbers used to send death threats.
In the same way, we are also asking Police to collaborate with NCA to look into the aspect of
death threats that says all the telephone numbers of the NDC Constituency Executive Committee members were tapped and monitored.
We believe its an infringement on the NCA’s privacy rule. The NDC spirit can’t be broken and won’t be broken any day. We ‘re Alive more than ever before.
