The Kumasi-based club was without a proper bus after the one they had initially – Kuffour Jet- developed a fault which made long-distance journeys for away games in the league very hectic for the club but vice president of Ghana, Mahamudu Bawumia has purchased a 39-seater bus for them.
This comes after the President of the Football club Alhaji Karim Grunsah petitioned Manhyia to get them a new bus.
Confirming the news on Happy Sports with Ohene Bampoe Brenya on Happy 98.9FM, Alhaji Grunsah said,
“It is true, I have received a bus from the Vice president Alhaji Bawumiah. We have received a 39-seater VVIP bus from him”.
“He called me into his office and gave me the bus. He said he has heard a lot about me and decided to help me”
“We went to show him the particular bus we wanted and he agreed to get it for us. The bus was registered in 2017″.
“This is a great motivation for the entire team for us to do well in the league. We will brand the bus nicely”.
Alhaji Karim Grusah also confirmed that Ghana’s Ambassador to China, H.E Edward Boateng has decided to foot the bills of his team in their matchday two fixture against Aduana Stars in Techiman.
