Perhaps, one can say that almost the whole of Ghana was glued to their Television sets yesterday as UTV’s United Showbiz hosted arguably 70% of Ghana’s most prolific actors at the same time.
Nana Ama McBrown’s United Showbiz on UTV is proving to be the hottest Television Entertainment Show in the country at the moment, by a landslide actually.
Playing host to Ghanaian movie stars; Majid Michel, Van Vicker, John Dumelo, Yvonne Nelson, Jackie Appiah and Nadia Buari, the comments from social media summed it all up that the show was a blast last night.
As the celebrated screen icons took turns to narrate their journey from obscurity to stardom, one thing that struck us most was the powerful advice given by Yvonne Nelson to Ghanaian youth.
Having narrated how she shuttled between University Education and chasing her dreams, Yvonne revealed how she chased her dreams at extreme risk and burden on her education, even though her salary was woefully inadequate.
Advising the youth on chasing their dreams, Yvonne Nelson summed up her words as follows:
“Pray for grace and favor, Believe in yourself and take ur studies serious ”
