Popular Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson who is known for criticizing every government has sent another strong message to New Patriotic Party (NPP) and other top officials who have some tasks to do but are feeling reluctant to do them. The “dumsor” vigil advocator who mounted a demonstration in times of former President John Dramani Mahama when power fluctuation has reached its peak, expressed her disappointment on how politicians have taken the entire country for granted.
Yvonne Nelson who is known for her bold political jabs and hard comments on government officials has made it known to the general public in social media posts which were seen on Facebook that the politicians have taken the citizens for granted. The is a result of an ongoing demonstration which is aiming at telling the government of the country to fix the country. In an attempt to carry out this demonstration, The Ghana Police Service has canceled it. “Our politicians have taken us for granted for far too long” She stated.
According to the actress, she’s very happy to see the youth and the general public getting up and fighting for what they must get from voting and paying taxes. She said, “I’m happy the youth now get it !”.
Also, the fearless actress vowed in her post that they will make sure they will do everything for the politicians to do the right thing through pressure that will be mounted on them. “We will mount the pressure until they do right”. She said.
In the post on Facebook, madam Nelson posted a video that explains the big stomach nature of most politicians. In captioning the video, she lamented how most politicians have been taking advantage of their office hence making the country to be still in development. She further said the development money of the country should not be in the stomachs nor personal accounts of politicians.
