A Taliban spokesman has confirmed that women in Afghanistan will have the right to work and be educated up to university level following the takeover of Afghanistan
Suhail Shaheen disclosed this during an interview with Sky News.
He said “thousands” of schools continue to operate, following the Taliban takeover but women will be expected to wear the hijab and not the burka.
“These are not our rules, these are Islamic rules,” Mr. Shaheen said.
He added: “It is for their security”
