The Yendi Circuit Court has jailed two armed robbers for 15 years each.
The robbers; Karim Salifu 29, a poultry farmer at Brerekum and a herdsman in the Bono Region, and Karim Issaka, 30, also a herdsman at Salinkpan near Yendi, on the 29th July 2021 robbed a man off his motorbike, five mobile phones and GHS 50 at gunpoint at Salnayili in the Nanumba North Municipality of the Northern Region.
The victim immediately raised an alarm, and the suspects were traced and arrested at Nakpache near Yendi with the motorbike and other items.
The court presided over by His Highness William Appiah Twumasi, the Circuit Court Judge in Yendi, sentenced them to 15 years each.
They are to be sent to the Gambaga prison in the North East Region.
