A young police officer named constable Eugene has attracted so much applause on social media for strictly enforcing the laws on the road regardless of personality or status. Eugene is stationed at a check point just after Atimpoku (Adorsu) bridge where he is strictly enforcing the laws.
Eugene went viral after National Democratic Congress Communication team member, Elikem Kotoko took photo of him stopping a top government official in his porch government vehicle after the driver violated the road rules and regulations. The government official who drove in a white pickup with the registration number GV 118Z was spotted over speeding.
Apart from from being caught over speeding, he deliberately disregarded and abused traffic by using his traffic indicator lights and driving on the other side of the road facing incoming vehicles. He was driving reckless on the road and the young police officer boldly approached and ordered him to step down out of the car. He forced him to pull over despite being a government official.
This is a clear example that other police officers should emulate.
