Report convened has it that a 21- year- old boy has raped his own mother at Odumasi a community near Kyebi in the Eastern Region of Ghana and absconded.
The act of the boy on the run appeared as a shocked to the residents as that is unusual in the area.
The boy popularly known as “Omega” absconded after doing the unholy act. Several attempts by the police to arrest him ended in futility.
According to the family, Omega was staying in Accra for several years until he migrated back to Odumase few weeks ago.
Then one afternoon, he saw his mother carrying maize to grind at the corn mill. Omega secretly followed her with a cutlass until she got nearer to an uncompleted building. Then he grabbed her hand, hit her chest with a cutlass and dragged her into the uncompleted building.
Omega forced the 60-year old woman to undress herself and thereafter slept with her. But before sleeping with her, Omega made a phone call to one person who instructed him to put on a ring before doing the act.
After the act, he used a white handkerchief to clean the old woman’s private part. The boy threatened to kill her if she leaks the news to the public and went away.
The old woman shouted for help. Volunteers assisted and reported the matter to Amanfrom-Kyebi Police Station.
The police followed up to arrest the suspect in his home. Omega run away into the bush after seeing the police and he is still on the run.
The old woman is at Odumase presently but the suspect, “Omega” has flee from the city.
