Shatta Wale surrounded by fans after EOCO arrest

Founder and leader of Heaven’s Gate Ministries, Prophet Nicholas Osei, widely known as Prophet Kumchacha, has urged dancehall artiste Shatta Wale to consider forming a political party by 2040. He said the musician’s growing influence and loyal fan base could make him a major political force in Ghana.

Prophet Kumchacha highlighted the massive public support Shatta Wale received during protests for his release after his recent arrest by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO). He described the mobilisation of fans as unprecedented, noting that such unity is rarely seen around public figures.

“The overwhelming show of support from his fans is proof that Shatta Wale has what it takes to rally people around him, even in politics,” the preacher said, pointing out that the musician’s influence extends beyond entertainment.

He argued that the strong grassroots following demonstrated during the EOCO incident could be translated into political capital if Shatta Wale decides to contest for power in the future. According to him, fan loyalty is a powerful tool that most political parties struggle to maintain.

Prophet Kumchacha stressed that by strategically building on his current popularity and structuring it into a political movement, Shatta Wale could create a formidable organisation capable of winning elections.

He concluded that if Shatta Wale channels his influence into politics, 2040 could be the year Ghana witnesses the rise of a musician-turned-politician leading a party backed by millions of passionate supporters.
